Edamar Wins CenturyLink Faith in the Future Award
Edamar Recognized by CenturyLink with inaugural Faith in the Future Award
CenturyLink and the Johnson City/Washington County (Tennessee) Chamber of Commerce recognized Edamar, Inc. with the first ever Faith in the Future Award for small businesses in Johnson City. The award was presented at a Millenium Centre luncheon today (10/20/10). Mountain States Health Alliance earned the large business award.
"We're honored and humbled to earn this prestigious recognition," said Edamar co-founder David Jones after the ceremony. "We're definitely future-oriented. We're focused on making the best STEM teaching tools for today's students... tomorrow's leaders. So this award is especially meaningful to us." (STEM refers to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.)
The CenturyLink Faith in the Future Award is designed to support and celebrate businesses in Northeast Tennessee that are leading the region into the future. "Our KitBooks are more than just a science kit, they're an all-in-one learning adventure. We have a lot of customers that are raving fans of KitBooks and we're proud to serve them from right here in Northeast Tennessee," said Jones. "With regard to the award, we are very optimistic about the future of STEM education in the US and manufacturing jobs in Northeast Tennessee."
